The Riverfront York is celebrating an unforgettable evening at the Visit York Tourism Awards 2026, a night dedicated to honouring the very best of our city’s hospitality, culture and visitor experiences. Held at York Racecourse on 12th March, the ceremony brought together outstanding businesses from across the region, recognising excellence, creativity and the people who make York such a welcoming destination.
This year, The Riverfront York and Bosun’s proudly achieved two major category wins, each reflecting the passion, dedication and heart our team brings to every guest experience.
Taste of England Award
Winner: Bosun’s Restaurant at The Riverfront York
Bosun’s has been awarded the prestigious Taste of England Award, celebrating exceptional food, service and the ability to create memorable dining experiences rooted in quality, craft and a sense of place. This recognition reflects the hard work of our kitchen and front of house teams, whose commitment to flavour, hospitality and local produce shines through in every dish.
As a VisitEngland qualifying category, this win means Bosun’s will now represent York at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence later this year, showcasing our region’s culinary talent on a national stage.
Camping, Glamping, Holiday Park & Self Catering Accommodation of the Year
Winner: The Riverfront York
We are equally proud that The Riverfront York has been named Camping, Glamping, Holiday Park & Self Catering Accommodation of the Year. This award celebrates accommodation providers who deliver outstanding guest experiences, thoughtful design and a genuine sense of welcome - values that sit at the heart of everything we do.
This category also qualifies for the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, meaning The Riverfront York will join Bosun’s in representing our city nationally later in 2026.
