Our Opening Hours are Monday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm (except Tuesdays when there is a Supper Club Event on when we will close at 2pm). We are open longer for special events such as Music on the Green.

Your own private riverside pod is now available to book for a peaceful evening escape. Enjoy exclusive use of your pod from 5pm to 10pm, Monday through Sunday, for just £40.

Settle into a calm, secluded space that’s entirely yours. Take in the gentle river views, unwind at your own pace, and create a relaxed end to your day. Bring along anything you’d like to make the evening special — the pod is your personal retreat for the night.

Please note:

• Food and drink service is not included, and the Café Bar may be closed during your hire period.
• Availability may vary on dates when pods are being used for other attractions.
• Usual site rules apply, including keeping noise to a considerate level.

About Our Pods
Our pods, located both on the riverside and in our Willow Garden beside our Cafe Bar, offer the perfect setting for any occasion. Whether it's a romantic coffee date, a family gathering, or a casual meet-up with friends, these pods will make your visit extra special.

Each pod comfortably seats up to six people and, yes, they're dog-friendly too!

One of our pods is accessible, ensuring that everyone, including those with additional needs, can fully enjoy the experience.

Please note, our pods operate on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. If the pods are all busy we have lots of bench seating around The Riverfront York site and many with umbrellas too.

Pod Etiquette

1. The Pods are for use by everyone. Please feel free to use all of the available seating.
2. No smoking or vaping inside the Pod at any time.
3. No dogs on the furniture.
4. Please clear up your used items as you leave.
5. Only food and drink purchased from The Riverfront Café Bar may be consumed in the Pods. Please Note: for evening Pod rental this does not apply.
6. To ensure everyone has a pleasant experience, we kindly ask that you be mindful of the time you spend in your Pod, especially when we are busy, so that everyone gets a chance to enjoy them.
