The excitement and pride were evident as the team secured a thrilling 7-5 victory at home, marking a promising start to their season.

Rob Hill, Lead Coach for the under 8s team, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Bishopthorpe under 8’s is made up of fantastic players, who have developed so much in the short time playing. Their teamwork and commitment make us very proud, and now, thanks to our generous sponsors, The Riverfront York, we have a kit deserving of the effort the kids put in.”

Kerrie Cook, Director at The Riverfront York, added, “We are thrilled to support Bishopthorpe White Rose U8’s. Seeing the joy and confidence these new kits bring to the children is incredibly rewarding. At The Riverfront York, we believe in investing in our community, and this sponsorship is a perfect example of how we can make a positive impact.”

The new kits feature The Riverfront York logo prominently, with some kits displaying the logo on the front and others on the back, as part of a dual sponsorship for the team. This thoughtful design ensures maximum visibility and showcases the strong partnership between The Riverfront York and the Bishopthorpe White Rose U8’s.

The Bishopthorpe White Rose U8’s consists of three teams, affectionately named the ‘Blacks’, ‘Purples’, and ‘Whites’. The ‘Purple’ team is set to start playing in November, adding to the excitement and anticipation for the season ahead.
